Tour de France highlights: Great Emotions!

 

The competition began on July 2 and has given many emotions at all. Soon it began with the opening, giving Cavendish his 27th victory in the Tour de France, beating Marcel Kittel and Peter Sagan in the sprint.

Sagan wins and wears the yellow jersey for the 1st time

World champion Peter Sagan (Tinkoff) won the 2nd stage of the Tour de France, and for the first time wearing the yellow jersey leader. Cyclist proved to be surprised by the victory, saying that only when finished the race he realized that the other cyclists were behind.

Cavendish wins again and equals of Hinault brand

The winner of the first stage again wins the third stage, after a hard-fought sprint. The victory was so fierce that it was only set after a showdown with photophinish. German Greipel still raised his arms to celebrate, but the image confirmed the victory of the British. Definitely, one of the best Tour de France highlights.

Marcel Kittel wins by millimeter the sprint of the 4th stage of the Tour de France. Note that it is the longest stage of the competition, with 237.5 kilometers.

Van Avermaet wins and conquers the yellow jersey

Greg Van Avermaet won the 5th stage of the Tour de France (the first to include mountains) with more than 5 minutes ahead, which earned him the much acclaimed yellow jersey.

Cavendish wins for the 3rd time and reaches 29 wins

Mark Cavendish won three victories, with the victory of the 6th stage. Cavendish overtook Bernard Hinault but needs more 6 wins to surpass the record of Eddy Merckx.

Cummings wins after a solitary attack in the 7th stage

Froome wins queen stage and conquers leadership

Chris Froome won the queen stage and the overall lead. After a killer performance on the descent, which ensured advantage of 13 seconds, he conquers the yellow jersey, and also the overall score ranking.

Colombian Pantano conquers 1st victory in Tour de France

Colombian Jarlinson Pantano won the biggest victory of his career by winning the 15th stage of the Tour de France.
